Born in Carlow in 1973, Cora Cummins graduated with an MA in Fine Art at the National College of Art and Design in 2003. She continues to develop an interest in how we view and define the landscape, and her works often reflect surroundings and locations that lie apart or are cut off. Independent of the neighbouring terrain, these are ‘islands’ that evolve and grow and decay on their own watch.
