Throughout the 1980's and 1990's the National Symphony Orchestra played concerts at Leisureland in Galway. In 2002, on hearing that 'Music for Galway' were raising funds, John Behan offered to print fifty lithographs of a sketch he had previously done of the Orchestra - and offer them for sale. Born in 1938 in Dublin, he is considered one of Ireland's greatest sculptors. His commissions include several major projects for the Irish Government including the National Famine Memorial in County Mayo. His work is seen in collections, both public and private, throughout Ireland and abroad.
