French Impressionist painter Paul Charavel studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris towards the end of the 20th century before moving to Spain in 1903. Shortly after he moved to the south of France where befriended and painted with artists such as Paul Signac and Henri Matisse. His works are held in numerous public and private collections and his stained glass windows adorn several European churches. He was a member of the Salon of French Artists.
