The grand and great-granddaughter of German Master Engravers it is no surprise that Sabine Springer was attracted to printmaking and particularly etching. As a Biologist, as well as an artist, Springers work is informed by the sea and marine life - and the aesthetic and emotional gap she feels is created between her art and the modern scientific approach to nature. She is based in Kinvara, County Galway.
