Tony O’Malleys vibrant and colourful paintings are inspired by and embody the beautiful Cornwall landscape. Born in Kilkenny, he moved to Cornwall from Ireland in 1960 and lived some thirty years there while wintering for many years in the Bahamas. On returning to Ireland his works were widely exhibited and included a major retrospective at the Irish Museum of Modern Art. A ‘Freeman of Kilkenny’, a large body of his work and that of his wife Jane are housed at The Butler Gallery in the city.
