If you have items to sell in our auctions, we will be delighted to assist.
Please complete the online form page by clicking here and send us details and images of your items. A separate form is required for each individual item. Alternatively, please contact us to make an appointment to visit our offices, when you can bring your item(s) with you.
Once we have had an opportunity to view and appraise your item(s) we will then be in contact with you in order to take the next steps.
If the item is suitable for one of our forthcoming auctions we will discuss an estimate, reserve (if appropriate) and assist in presenting your item in the best possible way to achieve the maximum hammer price. For items of a high value we will be pleased to discuss a reserve price with you.
If you wish to proceed and consign, you can then deliver (by appointment) or ship the item(s) to us. If not already seen, we will then make a final appraisal and valuation.
Sellers premium and applicable taxes are deducted from the hammer (final) price.
The seller shall pay the Auctioneer a commission (Sellers Premium) at the rate of 20% on the hammer price, plus VAT of 23% (applied only to the commission) on all individual lots.
The Sellers Premium may be subject to change. Please see our conditions of sale for more information.
Additional charges for insurance and professional catalogue photography may also apply.
Artists Resale Royalty (droit de suite) - Government Regulations (S.1. 312/2006)
Whereby a royalty is payable to living or deceased (up to 70 years from date of death) artists of E.U. Nationality on all works resold for €3,000 or more.
The amount of royalty is calculated as a % of the hammer price follows:
From €3,000 to €50,000 | 4% |
From €50,000.01 to €200,000 | 3% |
From €200,000.01 to €350,000 | 1% |
From €350,000.01 to €500,000 | 0.5% |
Exceeding €500,000 | 0.25% |
The total amount of royalty payable on any individual sale shall not exceed €12,500.
The seller is liable for payment (paragraph 7.1 of Government Regulations (S.1. 312/2006))
The artist may request from the Auctioneer any information necessary to secure payment.
With the agreement of the Auctioneer, the seller shall be entitled prior to the auction to place a reserve on any Lot. The reserve, or any subsequent changes, must be confirmed in writing to the Auctioneer prior to auction.
The reserve shall be the minimum Hammer Price at which the Lot may be sold by the Auctioneer. A reserve, once in place, may only be changed with the consent of the Auctioneer and cannot be above the low estimate.
Should a Lot not reach its reserve, and not sell, a commission of 5% plus vat shall be charged, with a minimum commission charged of €50. Such commission will be payable before the removal of such item after the auction.
Unless a reserve has been placed on a Lot in accordance with the provisions set out above the Lot shall be put up for sale without reserve. In the event that the reserve price is not reached at auction then for so long as the Lot remains with the Auctioneer and to the extent that the Lot has not been re-entered in another auction the seller authorises the Auctioneer to sell the Lot by private treaty at not less than the reserve price. The Auctioneer shall ensure that in such a case those conditions herein which concern mainly the buyer shall, with any necessary modification, apply to such sale.
Unless otherwise instructed by the seller, all lots shall be automatically insured under the Lot 100 Insurance Policy. A charge of 1% of the hammer price is levied in accordance with our conditions of sale. Lots not covered under this policy remain completely at the seller's own risk. Please see our conditions of sale for more information.
Photography of items are included at the discretion of the Auctioneer and are agreed in advance with the seller. Charges are calculated based on size and value. These charges are subject to change. See our conditions of sale for more information.
Lot100 offers a comprehensive preparation of lots for sale along with clear and targeted marketing of its auctions, with a view to delivering the maximum value for you. This process takes time and we suggest a timeframe of at least two months from the time you sign a consignment contract to auction.
During this time, we will prepare and catalogue your item(s) for sale, gathering the necessary detail an information to inform potential buyers.
Our Photographer will take high quality photographs of your items, conduct post - production work on the images, allowing us then to deliver an online catalogue of lots for sale.
Our marketing team will engage with media and digital media to advertise and promote the auctions. They will also engage with a campaign of emails and other messages to the Lot100 database of potential buyers – all with the aim of achieving the best hammer price for our sellers.
Vat is applied where appropriate at the current standard rate of 23%
You can view our online auctions from your computer or via our App where you will see the auction proceed and view your item(s) being offered for sale.
If you do not have the opportunity to view our auctions in real time, you can check the prices realised on our website.

You may choose to offer the lot for sale again in a future auction, or you may wish to have your item returned to you. If you wish to have your item returned, you can collect it free of charge from our office in Lismore, County Waterford or if you wish us to ship it back to you, there will be a delivery charge.
